The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has secured $103 million in tax-exempt bond financing. The proceeds of these bonds will be used to build the National Law Enforcement Museum, dedicated to telling the story of law enforcement in America. Together, the National Law Enforcement Museum and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial comprise a space dedicated to strengthening the ties between law enforcement and the community through knowledge, compassion, and dialogue. Greta Van Susteren and NHTSA Receive Awards The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund presented its Excellence in Media Award to FOX News personality Greta Van Susteren and its Distinguished Service Award to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at a Congressional reception at the Rayburn House Office Building on January 5, 2016.
Memorial Fund Chairman and CEO Craig W. Floyd welcomed more than a hundred guests in attendance and introduced Jackie Rice, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at Target, the event sponsor. Ms. Rice shared brief remarks and introduced Law Enforcement Caucus Chairs Congressman Dave Reichert (R-WA) and Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ), who both shared remarks in support of law enforcement.

Before serving as Philadelphia’s top cop, Commissioner Ramsey was Chief of the Washington, DC police force and recently served as co-chair of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing. Commissioner Ramsey will join National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund CEO Craig Floyd in a unique discussion of the Commissioner’s perspectives on law enforcement, his career spanning almost fifty years, and the future of policing.
