Why Volunteer? The success of the Run for the Badge depends heavily on the support we receive from more than 150 volunteers. There are many ways you can get involved!

Who Can Volunteer? If you're enthusiastic, hard working and reliable and want to contribute to the success of the weekend, we need you!

The Run for the Badge is a great event to get your group involved. To reserve a team for your group please email info@RunfortheBadge.org.

All volunteers under the age of 18:

  • Must have a Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form signed by a parent or guardian (not a group leader).
  • This waiver and instructions will be included with your confirmation letter.
  • For youth volunteer groups aged 16 to 18 years: 1 adult leader for every 10 minors
  • For youth volunteer groups aged 10 to 15 years: 1 adult leader for every 5 minors

Volunteer Roles

During registration you can choose your preference of volunteer roles. We will do our best to match your interests with our needs and confirm with you via email your assigned team.

Site Activities
(Saturday, October 14)
Volunteers will assist with final set-up, event start and finish including related activities such as hydration stations located at the start/finish site, gear check and finish medals distribution.

Course Water Station
(Saturday, October 14)
Volunteers will set up, staff and remove hydration and/or food stations along the 5K route.

Course Marshals
(Saturday, October 14)
Volunteers will be positioned along the 5K route. Course Marshals ensure participants remain on the course and stay safe.
